My little one tends to get croup and colds frequently and this product is another addition to my toolbox of remedies. She loves the tablets, I actually believe she thinks it's candy and always asks for more - so the "only twice a day" answer doesn't always go over all that well haha. I do believe it helped her to feel better - if not for real, then definitely in her mind!

Hit and run???
Bumper scratched, fog light shattered, and whoever that a$$hole was who hit my car in the parking lot didn't leave a note. Given the scratch is black and it's location, I am guessing it was someone in that big black truck parked facing me....Lucky it was "just" the fog light that shattered and not regular light and that there wasn't more damage overall.
Yes my car looks like crap already but that's NOT an excuse for a hit and run. What's next, should I expect to find my car with the bumper on the ground or no doors just because someone felt like it, or perhaps no car at all???? Siiiiigh…

COVERGIRL - Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Liquid Foundation
The bottle is super cute with the white and brown swirls, it got me all excited...it actually looks yummy haha. The scent is not major with this makeup which is quite nice.
You have to be careful with how much you squeeze the dispenser though, it tends to give a lot of product in just one squeeze. I also found that you have to be super careful about the amount of the product you actually put on your face - to get a nice flawless look you seriously have to nail it - do just a tiny bit more and you'll end up with cakey horrible looking face.
The first time I tried I squeezed the dispenser normally and ended up with more than a pea-size amount. I put it on my face and boy oh boy it was absolutely nasty! I did like the texture and ease of applying though so I cleaned my face and started over. I used about a pea-size amount for the next attempt, still looked horrible. Third attempt I did a bit less than pea size amount and voila - I got an even skintone, and my skin looks glowing! After about an hour my skin feels a bit irritated so I am worried I might have a slight allergic reaction which would make me really sad - it happens to me once in a blue moon even with the most expensive product (and the worst reaction I ever had was to a very expensive hypoallergenic product marketed for even the most sensitive skin....while some super cheap drugstore products work perfectly for me) so don't let this comment deter you from trying for yourself.
The makeup, once you figure out the right amount to use, looks really good. And it's so easy to apply evenly, one of the easiest I tried so far.

Thirty-One
So, a friend of mine had a fundraiser for her kid's preschool that involved Thirty-One products. Eventually I bought their famous All About Benjamins wallet and was pretty happy with it :)
Few months later hosted my own online party. Tried to tell my rep that I don't really have a huge circle of friends and those who are in my circle are not very likely to buy....I don't think she fully believed me! Well, the day of the party came and I invited 34 of my Facebook friends - the suggestion is between 30-50, and I simply don't have 50 to invite. Out of the 34, a few left the online party right away, finally a couple confirmed. A little discouraging you might say...but I did warn my rep ahead.
I did order a few items and a those few who confirmed made an order as well, so yay, I had the smallest qualifying party - yay for me!!!
I ended up getting a fold out bin that I am using as a laundry bin. I've been searching for a laundry bin for a while, and Thirty-One has a design I liked. I have to admit though,,,,,for over $60 the bin is still growing on me, I was slightly disappointed at the quality. Not it's badly made....but it just doesn't seem like an item I would ever spend $60 on if I saw it in a store.
I am also slightly disappointed in the insulated cross-body bag. For $25, I find the bag rather thin....Walmart has insulated bags for less and they are thicker - hubby has one so I know it keeps things cool quite long. I suspect with my Thirty-One insulated bag I will have to use an ice pack no matter what - which I am not keen on, I already haul quite a bit of weight to work on a daily basis and yes the ice pack is not super heavy, but every gram counts...
As a hostess of the party, I was able to get another All About Benjamins wallet heavily discounted - pretty happy about this purchase :)
All in all, the products are not bad...they just aren't worth the price to me. Plus I have to admit am not keen on the whole MLM scheme. I am happy to shop locally and I am happy to help local stay at home Moms with their income, but MLM usually doesn't give the income people dream about.

Yet another Canada Post rant...
Some days I seriously wonder how is Canada Post still in business.
So....I had a package coming. It was supposed to be here beginning of last week....and it was not. We kept on checking the mailbox, and no delivery attempt notice there either. Weird. Well...thank goodness I had a tracking number to look the package up.
Apparently they tried to deliver it and left a notice in my mailbox. Ummmm NO.
I CHECKED THE MAILBOX EVERY DAY. No notice what so ever.
This morning the tracking on the website said final notice was left.
Yeah....it was not.
Anyways, off to the post office I went. The package was thankfully still there....and note on the side of the package was said wrong address.
The post office clerk checked the mailing label and then checked the notice card. Yeah, my address was wrong on the card. It was absolutely CORRECT on the package. So it was someone at the post office that screwed up. I get it, we are all human, but at least twice a month I get mail that belongs to someone else, and nobody ever seem to care when I let them know. And nobody really cared to check the notice card against the actual mailing address on the package.
So frustrating. I do have a huge appreciation that it's not an easy job...but at the same time, most of us are expected to do a good job, or there are consequences. It just doesn't feel like that's ever the case of Canada Post...not only they don't ever seem to take responsibility, but they keep operating poorly and not much seems to be done about it.....

Western Family Organic Yogurt
Love love love this yogurt. I quite like it's not 0% fat crap like a lot of stuff on the market, this is actually done with whole milk. You get 1.57kg for around $10 which is reasonable for organic yogurt. I chose the plain variety, and it tastes delicious. My little ones enjoy it too. For a special treat I add a few fresh fruit or a bit of home made jam/marmalade.
Definitely recommend this one. I am a fan of Western Family products overall, and this one doesn't disappoint.

Innovitehealth Adult daily probiotics
These probiotics are super easy to use and you can tell the difference after only few days of use. I feel like my gut is finally improving, I used to feel kinda yucky at least a few days a week and since I started taking these I get that feeling less and less.
