Western Family Organic Yogurt

Love love love this yogurt. I quite like it's not 0% fat crap like a lot of stuff on the market, this is actually done with whole milk. You get 1.57kg for around $10 which is reasonable for organic yogurt. I chose the plain variety, and it tastes delicious. My little ones enjoy it too. For a special treat I add a few fresh fruit or a bit of home made jam/marmalade.

Definitely recommend this one. I am a fan of Western Family products overall, and this one doesn't disappoint.

Knorr Selects White Cheddar Rice

I have received a sample packet of Knorr Selects White Cheddar rice with my purchase from well.ca

I tried the sample and it was pretty nice. I quite enjoyed the flavor and it was easy to make.

One thing to note though, I had a bit leftover and when I heated up, it was not as good as I would have hoped for. It's definitely meant to be eaten fresh.

Decent side dish when you are in a pinch. Overall, I'd give three and half stars out of five :)

Little Northern Bakehouse gluten free bread

This is a pretty good gluten free bread! My little one was not overly keen on it (she is used to 100% whole wheat bread) but I liked it! It's super light and I'd say fluffy. I have to admit though I enjoyed it way better toasted than just "as is" - it was a bit crumbly when "as is" while toasted it had just the right texture. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is gluten intolerant or celiac, or vegan.  The price is also reasonable for a gluten free vegan product - we all know gluten free items tend to be pricier than regular items.

This bread comes in three varieties - Millet & Chia; Seeds & Grains; Cinnamon & Raisin and can be found in a number of stores in their gluten free section. I got mine at a local Save On Foods store.

Non-dairy frozen dessert

Omg this is so good! So silky and smooth :) If you normally enjoy dairy, you will enjoy this frozen dessert as well! It's super rich and creamy, and I could honestly eat the entire tub in one sitting. It was so good I did not want to share with hubby haha....but I did! I love that I can confidently serve this as a dessert with all of our friends - we have some that have to eat gluten free or dairy free (or both) but none of them is allergic to nut so this is perfect!
I got to try this product for free thanks to Socialnature.com but will be definitely buying again!

Oikos Super Grains

What does the product taste like? What is the texture like?
This Oikos yogurt is super thick and yummy. The taste is not too sweet, and the texture is not as smooth as yogurts without grains. In one way I found this yogurt a little dry if that makes sense to say about a yogurt.

Would you buy it?
YES, it's convenient size for carrying for lunch at work or school! I love that this yogurt has both dairy and fibre, it's double the goodness for one's overall health. With hat being said the amount of fibre in this yogurt is not huge...but as most Canadians typically do not eat enough fibre in a day, every little bit counts.

Would you recommend it to people?
Yes, it's a yummy convenient snack!

What are your overall thoughts about the product from a healthy eating standpoint?
It's a decent product. It does contain sugar but not as much as some of the yogurts targeted at kids, so I would feel comfortable feeding my little one with it as well. I found it more filling than a regular yogurt so if you are worried about portion control, this one will help you staying on track!

How would you rate this product overall (out of 5 stars)?
I am giving 4 out of 5

Orville Caramel & White Cheddar popcorn

Ok this thing is seriously addictive!!! So so so yummy. Combines two of my favourite things, cheese and caramel. You seriously cannot go wrong :) It took hubby and me minutes to basically inhale the entire bag. I meant to take a pic beforehand but forgot so this is a pic from minutes after opening the bag :) Now I wish the bag was bigger but then if it was, so would be my waistline so all is good. Super excited about this product, will be most certainly buying again. It's not the cheapest snack but the taste makes up for it for sure...and better snack on popcorn than chips. Love it love it love it!

Baobites

I am sooo happy I got to try these thanks to SocialNature!

I got three packs at 10g each, one peach/mango, one pomegranate and one blood orange. Even though this is superfruit snack it basically tastes like super yummy candy!!!

The snacks are made of African Baobab fruit, they are rich in Vitamin C and electrolytes. I love that the snack is organic, non-GMO! The packaging also says gluten free but that's something I would expect from a fruit - I don't think there even is a fruit out there that has gluten?? The snack has no preservatives or fats. I love that the baobab fruit is ethically harvested, it will make me feel better about buying it for my kid. I absolutely loved all three flavors, I am still deciding on my favourite and have a really hard time picking one.

So, so, so, so yummy!!!

And despite these being soft chews, they don't get stuck in your teeth! Really awesome product, definitely plan on buying more, hopefully I will be able to convince he owner of my local health food store to carry these in the store!

Olympic Natural Yogurt

This is absolutely wonderful yogurt. I love how creamy it is, I love that it is made locally, and I love the taste!!! You seriously cannot go wrong! Knowing there is no gelatin or preservatives makes it that much better - I know the site also says no gluten, but in reality, I am not sure how would gluten get in??? (unless it's a yoghurt with added granola etc., it should always be gluten free!).

I just wish it was a bit cheaper, I do get sometimes you have to pay for great quality, but with the amount of yoghurt my family eats, I sadly cannot afford to only buy Olympic - I truly wish it was the case though because it is our favourite!!!

I really want to give a five star rating but due to the pricing I am giving four. If you don't need to watch every penny, read this as five :)

Organic matcha tea

How can someone live without tea....??? Seriously. That's something I'll never understand. I can go without coffee, but I love my tea!. I have grown up drinking tea for breakfast - as a small kid, I used to put a sugar cube in, by the age of 10 I did not want anything to hinder the taste of tea anymore. Eventually I discovered green tea, rooibos, and any other tea I could get my hands on.
It was not until a few years ago that I discovered Matcha....and I have been hooked ever since. Matcha is almost like green tea on steroids :) Matcha Green Tea Powder has an Amino Acid called L-Theanine, which enhances energy, mental clarity and focus, but without the jitters a coffee can give you. At first I was so unsure about the powder but I got over that fear rather quickly.
Matcha is rich in antioxidants and helps you stay healthy if you drink it on a daily basis. I love that this particular product is 100% pure organic. No bad stuff added, it's as pure as it can be! Matcha is naturally gluten free and vegan.
A little disclosure, I don't drink Matcha for weight loss so I am unsure if it works that way or not. I just love drinking tea and I do love that it has so many antioxidants. It simply makes me feel good.
If you are not used to drinking tea, starting with Matcha might be a bit of an overkill. On its own, Matcha tastes a bit bitter. But there is a solution to this - this powder is awesome to add to fruit smoothies or shakes, or you can make it as a latte - if you still feel like the latte is too bitter, you can add a bit of honey or agave to sweeten it. And you can even add this powder to your baking - muffins with Matcha are super yummy!
This particular Matcha comes in a ziplock bag which helps to keep it fresh for a long time.

Give Matcha a chance, you won't regret! :)
