I am a pretty avid hiker so getting good monocular or binoculars was on my radar for a while. Being in the bear country, nothing beats the ability to actually spot animals before they get a chance to surprise you! I don't go around searching for bears, but if I see one in the distance, it's cool to be able to tell if it's a grizzly or a black bear and if they are tagged!

The magnification of this monocular provides good detail, with a clear and sharp image. It has an adjustable focus dial that allows you to adjust foras close as 3-4 feet away or far off in the distance. 

The monocular comes with a wrist strap and a carrying case and is quite compact. If you have room in your pack to bring a camera, you definitely have room for the monocular too! The body of the monocular is made of rubber for perfect non-slip grip, and both lenses have a cover that is attached so you won't loose it.

Yay, one more diffuser - humidifier that that I got to try for free thanks to Swati aka CanadianReviewFreak, VicTsingDirect and Amazon. I am so in love with the first diffuser that now I am hoping to have one of these in every room!

The diffuser is a compact device looking like one piece, and comes with a water measuring cup and a cord that needs to be attached to the bottom of the diffuser. The way this is done, the cord never gets in the way and cannot tip the diffuser over.

The diffuser itself, despite looking like one slick piece, has two parts, the base and the top that comes off so that you can fill the "cup" inside with water and a few drops of your favourite essential oil.

At the base of the diffuser, there are two buttons allowing you to choose setting - one is for changing the colour of the diffuser (there are 7 colors), the other for creating mist, allowing the diffuser to act as a humidifier and disperse the aromas of the essential oils. You can run the mist & colours at once; or you can opt for no colour, just the mist.

The device has four settings continuous mist, 3hour pattern, lights only and mist only mode and shuts off automatically on the pattern setting. 

All in all, great little stylish product.

So, this was another product that I got to try for free thanks to Swati aka CanadianReviewFreak, VicTsingDirect and Amazon. Very grateful for this opportunity. I was not entirely sure if I truly needed an essential oils diffuser but this one is so pretty and so easy to use, I absolutely fell in love!

When I first got the product it was like in one of those shows where you open a big box, and find another smaller box inside...thankfully it did not go beyond two boxes! I guess Amazon has to pack the products really well despite them being already boxed nicely, but boy sometimes it does feel like a waste of cardboard (yep I do care about environment so adding to waste concerns me).

With the new laws that have been in effect for a while now (thankfully!), I have though of getting a hands free set for my car. For the longest time I couldn't figure out which one to get - my phone was getting old, and I was not sure if I would get the same brand, and we all know sometimes things change even with one brand from one device to another. I have finally changed my phone about half a year ago when my old one no longer worked after five years, and with all the driving I do, the need for hands free once again came up. I don't get a ton of calls in a day but Murphy's laws always work, typically I get calls when I am driving! The device comes in a simple box which I liked - too much packaging always makes me think of the environment so this minimalistic box was perfect!

The device is a slick single piece that clips on the sun visor. Included in the package are a car plug and a USB cable. That was something that got me super excited - no need to buy batteries, this device has a rechargable battery and you can charge it through a USB cable. Seriously, how convenient is that? Love it!! It takes about three hours to fully charge.

I was a little worried that the set won't work with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 as all the devices listed in the title are are a generation older, but thankfully I worried for nothing. IT WORKS!!!! Connecting it was super simple, I just followed the directions from the included sheet as well as voice prompt from the hands free itself. You just flip on the bluetooth on your phone, press a big button on the hands free device, pair up the phone and the device and you are good to go! The hands free can pair up with two different phones which is something I plan on doing as my hubby sometimes drives my car too. I had hubby call my phone once connected to the hands free set to test out the sound and it was loud and clear! The pick up/hang up button is the biggest button on the hands free device and located on the head of the piece so it is super easy to use. Pretty much like a garage opener.

Pretty happy that now I will be able to pick up incoming phonecalls while on the road! :)

VicTsing® Digital PH Meter + TDS-3 Digital Pocket Size TDS Meter, Water Quality Purity Tester, 0-9990 ppm Measurement Range, 1 ppm Resolution, +/- 2% Readout Accuracy (2 PCS)

The TDS meter came in a leather holster with a belt-click, and was precalibrated to 342ppm. The temperature reading is in degrees Celsius which is absolutely perfect. The pH came in a plastic carrying box, along with instructions for usage and calibration, a flathead screwdriver to adjust the pH meter, and 2 packets of acidic calibration powder. The meter was pretty accurate out of the box. I am curious when will I need to recalibrate but according to some other people's reviews it might take a while which is awesome. 

The device has a nice large and easily readable LCD display. 

The product definitely comes at a great price in comparison with similar products from other brands. 

I have used this to check on our purified drinking water so cannot speak to checking ie swimming pool or aquarium water but would imagine it works just as well :)

The book is full of drama and action and gets you hungry for more! So many unexpected twists and turns!

This book is a prequel to Mind Dimensions book 1 and 2. 

Book 1 of the Mind Dimensions series: The Thought Readers

The Thought Readers is a fast paced, action-filled, Sci-Fi-Fantasy story by Dima Zales & Anna Zaires. It is narrated in the first person by the main character, Darren. 

 The story has quite interesting storylines and is full of unexpected events that keep you riveted to your seat waiting for more. 

Darren, main character of the story, is not your typical teenager. He has the ability to freeze time... He doesn't know how he does it or why. He calls this time stopping...the quiet. During this "quiet" he is totally unaffected. Everyone around him will be "frozen". It is no coincidence that with the help of this ability, he finished Harvard by the age of 18 and has an amazing Wall Street job at 21...

By accident he meets a girl, who can do the same thing he can...stop time. Now he now knows he is not alone.

As a character, Darren is quite likable and makes you, the reader, care about what happens next. 

I cannot wait to finish book 2!

Book 2 - The Thought Pushers

Book 2 starts where we left off in book 1. We learn more about Darren, his powers as well as about the other side, the Pushers. We also get some answers about Darren's family (I suspected who/what they were a little bit before the truth came out) and to this mysterious 'pusher'. It also dives into the Darren-Mira relationship....and we learn that he has a relative! With that being said, I promised no spoilers so I won't tell you anything else aside for...it's not as it all seems and raises more questions while solving previous ones...

Yet again the story keeps you on your toes!

Wireless Meat Thermometer by #ThermoFuture

I was fortunate enough to be selected to review Wireless Meat Thermometer by #ThermoFuture via #Tomoson. Once approved to receive the free product in exchange for an honest review, things went very quickly and within matter of couple of days, I had the thermometer in my hands.

The thermometer is a slick and modern looking device. The unit itself has a large screen with additional light, and the probe is stainless steel with a heat resistant wire which makes it very safe to use. You insert the probe into the meat, and the transmitter has to stay outside of the over/BBQ. The temperature reading can be transmitted up to 20 metres (65 feet). The unit requires two AAA batteries - these are not included so I scrambled a bit to find a couple - total Mommy brain, the description of this review campaign clearly stated the need for them and I forgot to buy them when I went to the store the other day. Thankfully I had some at home in one of the kiddie toys! ;-)

The screen itself has pre-programmed ideal temperatures for different types of meat - ie, chicken, lamb, beef etc.  - even fish and hamburger settings is there! It also gives the opportunity to cook the meat the way you like it - from well done to rare! You can also switch between degrees Celcius and Fahrenheit. Once the meat is done, the unit gives you a sound notification.

I was pretty impressed how easy the thermometer is to operate and how accurate it is when selecting other settings than well done. And of course the well done setting is great. Being that I am just starting my baby on solid foods, I am pretty paranoid about food-borne illnesses so I tend to overcook things - just in case. With the help of this thermometer I am able to cook meats to perfection and give my baby a better experience - meat is cook thoroughly but not overdone.

Another things that I was very impressed with is the company's approach to customer satisfaction. The device comes with a not asking you to call if you are not 100% happy and they will do whatever they can to fix the issue. And if they can't make you happy, they offer 100% money back guarantee! With that being said, I can't really imagine anyone wanting to return the device once they get a hang of how easy and accurate it is to use.

Thanks to #BrandBacker, I had the opportunity to try Nature Science Vegan Omega 3 supplement.

Nature Science Vegan Omega 3 is a supplement that helps support cardiovascular health, cognitive health and brain function. Since Calgary area has no sea and even water is scarce, it might be hard for a lot of people to get Omegas from fish - it tends to be rather pricey here. Not impossible though....but if you are vegetarian or vegan, how do you get your Omegas then?  Nature's Science Vegan Omega-3 is the answer.

These pills contain Omega 3, 6 and 9. How can they be vegetarian/vegan you may ask? Well, simple answer - they are made from plant based marine algae.

They are made as a super easy to swallow soft gel full of omega acids goodness. Each pill contains EPA and DHA from marine algae as well as ALA from flaxseed oil.

Warning - do not take if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, nursing or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients!

Given how much negativity there is in this world, I was excited to be accepted to review "Be Positive Or Be Quiet" book by Mark E. Wilkins, Ph.D. 

This is a book that can assist anyone to become more positive by being selective which words are expressed and how. We all know how negative talk can influence perfectly positive people, so why not see it the other way around as well? Positive attitude attracts positive outcomes! 

This book refers to specific portions of the Bible to help people become more positive through the use of language, or otherwise, as the title suggests: just be quiet. 
I am not a religious person so I found all the talk about God and His will/His plan overwhelming at times, however the actual principles shown within this short book are principles that can be applied by anyone - regardless of whether you are religious or not; and if you are, regardless of what religion you identify with. 
So if you are hoping to work on some positive changes to your life, why not start by reading this book? :)
